Job Description
The Site System Administrator is responsible for the operation and support of Information Technology services at one or more Grace locations in the region as directed by the IT Manager - Infrastructure & Operations. The person will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Information Technology at these sites to ensure compliance and consistency with all company policies, processes, procedures, and other standards and regulations.
Provides Helpdesk and troubleshooting support and expertise to users of PCs, related peripherals, and phone systems (landline and mobile). Manage PC and peripheral hardware, local and wide area networks, network communications equipment, and Technical aspects of the Phone System (PBX) and related asset inventories
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage PC and peripheral hardware and software, local area network hardware and software, PBX and phones
This includes all personal computers, servers (Physical/Virtual), printers, portable devices and infrastructure software, Cisco LAN equipment, time clocks, door access or video surveillance.
Responsible for receiving, configuring, testing, and installing new desktop, notebook, switches, access points, phones and for assisting with the testing and installation of new or upgraded versions of software.
Local Telecommunications services coordination which include management of those services. This includes telephone systems, wireless telephones, radios and other communication devices. This also include all data communications, voice mail, paging, modem and fax services. Services must be coordinated with the appropriate functional owners of the service within the company and with the communication service provider company.
Support of other IT related equipment, Laboratory or Instrument system. Assistance with troubleshooting and configuration of the system. This requires close coordination and a working relationship with the equipment owner and vendors (encourage to work with vendors on the related equipment hardware especially on the interfacing with PC, security that requires our direction, knowledge, etc.)
Responsible for the connections and services for all PC/ Telephone related hardware moves, adds, and changes.
Telecommunication Circuit installs, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Basic technical support for Avaya installs and maintenance
Participate on projects
Required Experience
Requires minimum 3 years' experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows/Intel based PCs, Servers & Cisco network equipment
Preferred Bachelor's degree in related field.
Broad range of experience should include extensive knowledge of Intel based hardware; Microsoft based operating systems (including Windows Server editions) and Microsoft Office suite software, other corporate Windows application installation and troubleshooting including Internet based or client server application
Telephony experience, including VoIP, AVAYA PBX, Smartphones
Cisco /Meraki networking technologies (Switches, Access Points or Wireless Cloud Consoles)
Telephony experience, including VoIP
Network Cabling experience familiarity with voice and data cabling requirements (CAT6,7 and fiber)
Knowledge about Information security technologies with experience in VPN client, antivirus, or anti-malicious software
