Reporting to the System Integration and Operations Management Supervisor under the Operations Assessment and Management Unit, the successful candidate will be responsible for the conduct and execution of activities with regards to the grid operation of the Luzon network.
Reviews and evaluates various Facilities Studies, system Impact Studies, Grid Impact Studies and Energization requirements;
Prepares Grid Operating and Maintenance Program and formulates various operating guidelines and protocol;
Participates in the testing of Variable Renewable Energy to ensure compliance to NGCP standards and grid coder requirements;
Assesses prospective changes in the grid such as new generation capacity, new lines, and new or upgraded equipment, and identify the impact of future enhancements/grid re-configurations;
Act as lead group in LSO in 1) Various workshops relative to the connections of generator and load customers to be connected to the grid to ensure compliances, and 2) Conduct and review of Bidding documents of various projects endorsed and prepared by P&E to ensure that requirements and standard are properly considered in the specifications and bidding process;
Formulates and conceptualizes various operational guidelines;
Coordinates and interfaces with other sections, divisions, as well as other functional groups within NGCP and with other utilities like MERALCO, GMC, the Department of Energy, Market Operators directly connected with industrial customers, etc.;
Acts as a resource person during in-house training on technical matters regarding power system.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Registered Electrical Engineer
Four (4) years experience relevant to the job
Knowledgeable in PSSE software and/or other power system software
