Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, coach, and mentor systems administrators and engineers.
Contribute to strategic and tactical product planning
Be responsible for the delivery and operation of high-quality systems and applications that help our clients grow
Contribute to the sense of psychological safety on your team
Hold regular 1:1's with all members of your team
Give regular and clear feedback around the individual's performance
Foster technical decision making on the team, but make final decisions when necessary
Supports lifecycle (patching, upgrades, EOL hardware refreshes).
Compliance/Audit remediation of requests coming from client service line, internal InfoSec, or through vendor publishing vulnerabilities.
Engaged with other IT Service Lines to ensure that systems design is integrated with security, telephony, and network designs.
Define measures and targets to be used as key performance indicators (KPIs) to track lifecycle and compliance status & progress.
Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties.
Manage system infrastructure team to ensure the design of systems and application services meets business requirements
Manage system infrastructure team(s) involvement with implementations and project delivery
Plan, design and help the system infrastructure team in establishing the requirements of the organization or the clients
Design specifications for establishing security in the systems and applications and protecting vulnerable database
Coordinate with the hardware and software suppliers, negotiate with them and place necessary orders
Plan the budget for systems infrastructure, recommend proper software and hardware such as servers, storage, cloud providers and etc.
Troubleshoot any kind of hardware and software problems at the end users site and make sure that there is no problem in accessing any resource for the users
Update the systems regularly with antivirus, anti-spyware/malware, patches and protect against any kind of viruses and breakdowns in the system
Maintain remote monitoring systems and keep a track of the use of resources provided to the employees and the end-users
Sets authentication and authorization and restricts users from accessing important and vital information available
Requirements

Qualifications:
5 years of managerial experience
4 years of proven hands-on experience in a Systems Administration/DevOps role in the past
Five years of large scale system infrastructure lifecycle and compliance experience required
Supervisory responsibility over staff members
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with colleagues and external vendors
Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Build the systems and DevOps team and lead the overall growth and strategy for the team
Mentor and upskill existing team of systems administrators and DevOps engineers
Support, teach, and learn from, other team-members
Exceptional collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Experience in hardware setup and deployment in on-prem data centers

Your past background and experience
Hands on experience in Linux operating systems: Ubuntu (Preferred), Fedora, Debian
Hands-on experience in a unix/system administrator role
Web server technologies (DNS, Apache, NGINX)
Bash/shell scripting and python experience
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible
Experience with CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins
Solid Experience with Docker (Dockerfile, docker-compose) and Kubernetes
Security and Network Awareness
Experience working with Git distributed source code
Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
