1. Responsible for handling IT security complaints or incidents
2. Review and evaluate incidents, provide solutions/resolutions, and closure
3. Assesses imminent threats to IT resources
4. Determines incident severity and escalates it, if necessary
5. Track exploits or vulnerabilities being published publicly to be updated.
6. Formally identifies and assesses information security-related risks within the organization or information system.
7. Responsible for recommending and implementing the physical security controls to protect the organization's information.
8. Ensure the compliance of the ISMS towards the International Standards, organization processes, government regulation, and other standards the business has adopted.
9. Develop and improve the security policies and procedures.
10. Ensures adequacy and appropriateness of the controls developed
11. Agrees on the risk assessment methodology to be adopted and used.
12. Responsible for security awareness and training programs.
13. Communicate with other teams to ensure adequate cyber-risk mitigation and information security on people, processes & technology.
