First line of support for any Server related issues. Performs initial troubleshooting relating to windows server and infrastructure solutions. FUNCTIONS Operations Management ' First line of support for any Server related issues. Performs initial troubleshooting relating to windows server and infrastructure solutions. Responds to emails, IMs, hotline calls, and alerts. Participate in the daily operation of Incidents, RITMs, and CHG tickets Follow, validate and contribute to technical documentation handed out by senior peers Conducts regular Server and infrastructure health-check. Proactively responds to system failure identified during checks Responds to Sev1 and Sev2 as needed. Assists L3 in representing ES during outages. Perform routine taskschange as directed by senior administrators Comply with ticket SLAs Develop routine change under the supervision of senior administrators Acknowledge hardware alerts and coordinates with vendor/s on hardware maintenance. Coordinates with stakeholders and creates CHG ticket to schedule downtime (if necessary) for hardware replacement. Identify requestsincidents that do not have technical/process documentation and create them as needed. Perform Release to operation checks on newly built systems before acceptance to production. Ensure all settings conforms to ES standards. Assist senior administrators during Outages Responsible for self-phased technical growth' Scope - Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Subject Matter Expertise ' Responsible for representing the ES team in technical engagements with both internal and external parties Project & Activity Management - Responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned network projects and activities. - Responsible for liaising with other teams and vendors regarding technical matters concerning the assigned project. Customer Relation & Engagement - Responsible for representing the team during outages and in regular meetings. - Responsible for ensuring that key deliverables with customers are followed through, tracked, updated and completed as per commitment. Implementation Leadership - Responsible for monitoring the queue and ensure SLAs are met Project & Activity Support - Responsible for ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks. - Responsible for ensuring proper documentation and timely updates for assigned tasks. - Responsible for the coordination with other teams in fulfilling the assigned tasks.' Troubleshooting '- Responsible for ensuring to work with concerned teams in troubleshooting of technology problems. - Ensures that proper troubleshooting techniques, protocols and tools are used in coming up with recommendations and solutions. - Ensures that technical recommendations are properly thought of/analyzed and based on hard facts. - Provides regular updates on the troubleshooting to the team and management.' Routine Activity - Responsible for the routine checking of the health and performance of the infrastructure and ensures potential issues are reported for immediate attention/resolution. - Responsible in responding to Solarwinds alerts and incidents - Responsible for documenting work turnover and cascading the same to the team. ' Reporting - Responsible for the regular generation, analysis, review and releasing of reports. - Responsible for the review, gap analysis and providing action plan to management. Job Complexity - Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Supervision - Independence of Action - Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. QUALIFICATIONS Technical Background in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (server and workstations) Background in Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, File Services (FS), Network Policy Services (NPS) and other Native Microsoft Technologies Background in Windows Scripting (PowerShell) Understanding in Governance and Identity Access Management (SAML/ADFS). Understnding in Virtualization technologies (VMware) Understanding in Microsoft Exchange 201020162019 or Office 365 Understanding in Server hardware technologies (DELL, HP, CISCO UCS, Nutanix) Understanding in Azure Solutions Background in SCCM. Understanding in Azure Authentication and Authorization Solutions such as Azure AD and Azure MFA Working knowledge of Unix and Unix commands for basic administration. Working knowledge of Information security disciplines and practices. Working knowledge of Storage Solutions: SAN, NAS, and DAS Working knowledge of Backup and DR solutions. Working knowledge of Database applications. Working knowledge of Web application servers. Working knowledge of Networking concepts. Working knowledge of Azure Services Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and test planning skills. Working knowledge of PC and PC-LAN computing environment. Working knowledge and understanding of data communications software and hardware, such as switches, hubs and understanding of TCP/IP. General knowledge and understanding of business operations. Working knowledge of disaster recovery concepts and practices. Proficiency in analysis and design techniques. Excellent project and time management skills, including planning, methodologies, time tracking, leadership, etc. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new IT skills and concepts. Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative solutions Good communication skills. Working knowledge of many computing platforms. Working knowledge of several relational databases. Working knowledge of IT communications networks. Experience includes system configuration, operating system setup / support, database tuning, performance monitoring, OS-level scripting, etc. Ability to distinguish, learn and accept differences in business and end-user requirements. Ability to learn and expand technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. Read, write and communicate fluently in English.' Experience At least four to six years experience in managing Windows Servers, Virtualization, and Cloud environment Soft Skills ' Must have effective interpersonal and communications skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet demanding deadlines He has demonstrated the ability to DOCUMENT his work.
