Job Description
The System Admin role is responsible for supporting Westcon PH/AsiaPac internal staff either over the phone, shared screen or hands on, plus system backend work. To assist the regional IT manager, work with other site administrators, help achieve a stable, robust IT system and well supported IT environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
IT system admin role to support Westcon PH/AsiaPac IT system operation
Administration of internal staff PCs, data centre infrastructure, servers, network equipment
Participate in team projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of IT systems
It may be necessary to work out of normal business hours to resolve critical issues or provide maintenance
It requires good and professional customer service skills
Positive attitude towards work, effective team player, willingness to learn, commitment/ownership on tasks
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Skills and knowledge:
Good level expertise on Microsoft Windows AD, Office 365 mail, server setup and VMware
Experience on Anti-Virus, SCCM applications in a corporate environment
Hands-on IT equipment hardware and software experience
Essential: excellent communication skills and customer service attitude, face to face environment and the ability to provide remote phone support
Essential: ability to write clear and concise documents, reports and emails to liaise with external parties, internal staff and colleagues.
Experience:
A Bachelor Degree in related discipline with an IT focus is preferred or related field of study
Minimum 6 years' experience and knowledge in Microsoft AD servers architectures, Office 365 and implementation of networked system structures
