The Role
As a Sustainable Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the integration of the ESG / Sustainability Finance framework in the Wholesale Banking Segment's lending and credit process. You will establish and implement a robust data management system for Sustainable Finance exposures within the WBS and you will champion the goals of the Sustainable Finance Framework in dealings with WBS, bank colleagues and customers.
How you'll contribute
Lead WBS, HOOG and Risk colleagues to review and enhance current lending practices and processes to embed ESG/ Sustainable Finance standards and requirements.
Develop, implement and maintain a sustainable finance exposure data management process
Provide and highlight industry updates related to ESG and Sustainable Finance, work with relevant stakeholders to address potential gaps and / or opportunities
Coordinate relationship management teams and clients to ensure timely submission of documents and requirements for sustainable finance compliance
Actively drive and promote sustainable finance via engagement, education, communication with relationship and credit teams
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in the field of Finance, Engineering, Risk Management, or relevant field
Preferably with 3 years' relevant working experience
Exposure to sustainability standards, regulations, and other development institutions and their operational practices
Good verbal and written communication skills and works well with others.
Self-starter.
Good attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture.
Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively.
Works well with both internal and external stakeholders.
