Description
A Supply Chain Analyst uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. They have responsibility for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support Supply Chain Management planning and operations.
Duty: Metrics Reporting and Analyses
Gathers, manipulates, scrubs and formats supply chain related data needed as per pre-defined instructions
Performs data validation to achieve data consistency
Prepares standard supply chain related reports based on standard templates
Duty: Supply Chain System Data Maintenance and Administration
Gathers, manipulates, scrubs and formats supply chain related data needed as per pre-defined instructions
Follow business process in updating the system to ensure accuracy of information
Validates, encodes changes related to the system (e.g. part number, collection plan) and completes the setup based on agreed turn-around-time
Follow business process in updating the system to ensure accuracy of information
Collaborate and communicate with suppliers, get commercial information (e.g. transfer price, lead time) or other related information needed to update the system
Duty: eSourcing
Informs and sends requirements of the ES event to the suppliers
Responds to Level 1 general inquiries and requests received from suppliers (e.g. MOQ and Lead Time concerns)
Conducts basic/overview/ awareness training on product, process and ERP/business tools (e.g. eSourcing tool)
Encodes the general information of the ES event (e.g. project shell, savings form)
Monitors pre-bid and supplier issues or concerns
Monitors actual bid event and request assistance for supplier issues or concerns from the ARIBA helpdesk
Troubleshoots known supplier issues in Ariba
Updates the award and non-award decision for the ES event is reflected in the ARIBA
Creates and communicates award and non-award letters to the suppliers using a standard template
Creates ES summary report based on standard template
Duty: Documentation
Maintains the master list of documented information (e.g. procedures, forms, templates, manuals, articles, external documented information, etc.) for completeness and accuracy
Updates an existing Documented Information related documents and processes (e.g. procedures, forms, templates, manuals, articles, external documented information, etc.) based on the documentation guidelines (e.g. identification, description, format)
Duty: Continuous Improvement & Project Management
Attends scope reviews to learn what the project request is all about
Creates documentation using standard project templates; stores and organizes the documents to the team's repository
Reports own progress back to the project tracking tool
Sets up UAT (informing participants, scheduling, gathering results)
Creates user manuals using standard templates of the team
Requirements
Education
BS IE,
BS OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT,
BSBA in Supply Chain and Purchasing
Or other Engineering/Management related discipline
Job Related Experience
(1) one year relative experience in Buying, Planning, and Supply Chain; or
(1) one year experience in data mining, manipulation, analysis and reporting
Specific Knowledge
Able to read, analyze & interpret various data types in Excel, Outlook or PDF formats
Can understand/interpret technical documents such as product datasheets & price lists
Good working knowledge on data interpretation & business processes knows how sales & marketing functions support business goals
Skills
Basic Microsoft Excel proficiency (Level 1)
Proficient in other Microsoft office programs: Power Point, Word, Outlook
Good level communication skills for interacting with technical & non-technical people via email or phone correspondence in fluent English
Can provide data in an efficient and understandable manner
Capable of simultaneously using various systems/tools to complete requests
