Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Supervisor - Asset Protection, who will ensure the dependability and operational efficiency of the Department's security system. This role involves managing the Unified Security System, overseeing security tools' reliability and maintenance, ensuring effective communication management, and overseeing the Armory and communication equipment. This role will report to the Superintendent, Asset Protection.Key tasks and responsibilities:
Develops detailed security plans to mitigate risks and enhance protection strategies
Leads incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed
Audits security systems and protocols regularly to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
Implements security measures to reduce shrinkage and theft based on guidelines
Conducts investigations into minor incidents, gathering relevant facts and evidence
Conduct periodic risk assessments and adjust mitigation strategies as necessary based on changing conditions or new information
Qualifications
Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to security and surveillance.
Proven experience in security operations and management, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting
In-depth knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, access control systems, and incident response procedures.
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices in asset protection and executive protection.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with management, VIPs, and law enforcement agencies
Demonstrates physical fitness and mental agility to effectively manage security-related challenges and emergency situations
Ability to drive light vehicles is an advantage
Professional certifications such as Certified Security Professional (CSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) are a plus.
Preferably completed Basic Military Training
Prior experience in the Armed Forces of the Philippines is a plus
