A workspace and facilities that boost productivity and combat stress Global work experience from the comfort of your home (country) Career development and overall workplace happiness Key Tasks: Prepare SMSF file including reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and collation of all regulatory requirements ready for audit. Consider P&L item analysis. Proactively identify technical SMSF issues and work towards a resolution. Follow up outstanding items with clients. Liaise with clients to obtain all relevant information for their SMSF accounts and other compliance requirements. Liaise with external parties as required - financial planners, conveyancers, banks, brokers etc. Deliver high quality service with all interactions. Maintain an intermediate understanding of financial reporting and tax provisions to prepare accurate reports and tax returns. Apply knowledge and understanding of accounting, tax and software packages to more complex client situations. Become curious as to how the clients tax position could be improved and work with managers during tax planning or completion of work. Become aware of the why behind processes and consideration of each clients individual circumstances. Collate and prepare super packages in all forms:, Email, App File Scanned super signed documents for audit Collate super files post audit, lodgement of tax return within BGL and arrange audit report delivery to client Update ihub from a super fund perspective SMSF filing (paper and electronic) New SMSF clients - arrange for their set up on LBW, BGL and ATO systems New SMSF clients - ordering super fund deeds and trustee company via TopDocs Deed update process via Top Docs Prepare and send out OSA letters annually Support the team to lodge nil PAYGW IAS, quarterly and annual PAYGI IAS and payment slips Support team with calls to the ATO Other projects and tasks as required Provide leadership by showing and acting on the firm values and LBW why. Start to understand individual motivations and the need to tailor approaches to different people and differing styles. Participate in on the job training and act as a buddy and/or mentor with new team members. Meet chargeable hours budgets as assigned Aim to work within budgets allocated for pieces of work provided. For smaller clients where have responsibility be involved in the billing process and manage the write offs/ons. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline i.e. Accounting Subjects covering the core knowledge areas required by CAANZ Good academic results Minimum two years' experience in accounting (either public accounting or industry) Understanding of how accounting practices work is helpful but not essential Commenced or eligible to commence CA/CPA programs Working together - work collaboratively internally (between accounting, financial planning and super) and externally by sharing knowledge, respecting views of others and applying a one firm approach. Continuous improvement - seek and provide constructive and timely feedback and coaching to develop self and others. Identify ways to innovate and improve firm and client outcomes.
