STUDENT RESIDENCE RESIDENTIAL ASSISTANT
Overview:
Residential Assistants are required to work flexibly in the Student Residence (Boarding House) at Cebu International School. This role is residential, requiring at least 6 nights a week overnight duty in the Student Residence. The nature of a boarding community is that the hours are long, but rewarding. We require hard- working, flexible workers who are prepared to rise up to the challenges of a boarding community.

Live and work within a residential boarding house including evening and weekend pastoral duties
Take a firm stand on and be familiar with key pastoral issues such as manners, interpersonal relationships, bullying and discipline.
Accompany pupils to school events and trips including those that fall on evenings/Saturdays
Familiarize with School and Residence rules, regulations and policies and their implications.
Responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom they are responsible or come into contact with
Supportive of and committed to the School's policies on Child Protection
Mindful of their personal responsibilities relating to safety, health and the environment
Mindful of the need to treat all sensitive information relating to pupils, fellow employees and the business of the School as confidential
Mindful of the need to behave appropriately and professionally at all times with pupils, their parents, peers and other staff

This role is new and multi-faceted. This job description is not intended to be all embracing and the post holder shall be required to carry out any other related duties as directed by the Head of Student Residence.

Hours of Duty:
School Days - 6.00am - 7.30am, 4 pm - 10pm }
Saturdays - 9am - 11.30pm } on call during night for
Sundays - 9am - 10pm } any emergencies
Includes evening and weekend activities
One full day off per week
Annual leave: As per school semester holidays. Must report for duty two days earlier and leave two days later.
Terms: The role comes with free accommodation and meals (breakfast and dinner) during operation dates (linked to school terms), and a salary.
Duties primarily are:
Overnight duty everyday. On call for emergencies during night.
Wake up students, ensure they make their beds, have their morning shower and are ready for breakfast by 7 am.
Can leave for school by 7.30 or so.
Maintain a clear and accurate daily report.
Study Hall supervision ( the 2 staff can take turns, either weekly or on alternate days).
Organizing night snacks.
Check laundry.
Night roll call, lights off.
Check in and check outs on weekends, holidays (one staff on Saturday and one staff on Sunday, the other takes a day off on either Saturday or Sunday)
Chaperone students on their Saturday trips - shopping mall, outings, games/activities.
