What will you do?
As our new Strategist (f/m/x), you will be a part of the the Strategy & Business Consulting team which is the first point of contact for new clients and product innovation projects. Our work is focused on identifying opportunity areas, deriving priorities aligned with strategic goals and deliver tangible results that drive change. We inspire project teams across iconmobile and the client with lean, entrepreneurial thinking.
As our new Strategist (f/m/x) you will identify key market and user trends, synthesize these with business imperatives, and develop meaningful concepts as well as a vision and roadmap for innovation. You run first projects individually and together with the team, foster digital product innovation competencies and entrepreneurial thinking at clients.
This position will be operating at our Office in Santa Monica.
Your day-to-day will include:
Conducting dedicated market research and interviews to derive both macro trends and key user insights (problems, pain points, value propositions)
Translating discovery results into clear strategy narratives, helping to guide client outcomes
Identifying and translating opportunities for market growth based on industry and market trends
Bringing in creative thinking to ideate new concepts for digital product innovation
Knowing and applying latest digital innovation tools and methods (e.g. be confident in applying the Business Model Canvas)
Working closely with designers and technologists to add strategic considerations into each step of client initiatives
Supporting and leading workshops along the spectrum of our innovation approach
Creating business cases/plans to prove the return on investment on digital initiatives to clients
Creating analytics (extrapolate key insights from research; be able to communicate essence of findings)
Deriving revenue cases for digital business models
Helping our clients discover new opportunities for growth based on industry and market trends
Taking ownership for projects both internally as well as towards to the client
Keeping updated and document trends, cases, insights towards establishing an individual domain expertise (to be SPOC across the iconmobile group for that domain)
Applying knowledge of UX principles and design thinking to business strategy aligning user insights and business objectives
Supporting all business development initiatives creating proposals and presentations; inspiring and leading clients with digital expertise
Identifying key trends and synthesize them with business imperatives to develop meaningful approaches as well as the vision and roadmap for innovation
Apply latest tools and methods to empower our clients with speed and digital expertise to master change and drive business impact
Who are you?
You are self-motivated and always up-to-date on market trends and you love to share insights. You are curious, open to learning new skills and engaging with previously unknowns topic and industries. You are a team player and love striving your team to success but are also able to work independently.
Here's what we think you need to succeed in this role:
MBA (or equivalent) with strong academic performance strongly preferred
5+ yrs. of work experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or product management
Experience with business and revenue modeling towards creating investment cases
Knowledge of Lean UX principles and design thinking is a plus
Prior experience in identifying and delivering on growth opportunities and brining products or services to market
Skills for strong visuals to communicate messages (e.g. Keynote expertise is plus)
Flexibility (playing differing roles across projects)
Be comfortable with uncertainty, as we deal in innovation where all variables are not clearly defined
Confident in decision making.
