Role Summary:
The Strategic Business Analyst is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and development of business data and performance metrics in the firm as well as provide quality research on financial markets industry for regulatory compliance and product development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain various databases to be used for customer, commercial, operational and enterprise analytics
Assist the Head of Strategic Business and Analytics in monitoring and analyzing business data and performance metrics
Assist in the formulation of strategic initiatives and business plan in support of the business units to ensure cohesiveness and consistency with the Group's overall corporate strategic vision and mission.
Assist in the evaluation of potential business ideas as well as the development of effective execution plans to facilitate the effective execution of projects to support the Group's corporate strategy and operational needs.
Research on developments regarding competitor strategies, brands, sales, campaigns, products and position in the market and identify trends in the industry
Research and stay abreast of capital/financial market developments as well as government policies and regulation particularly those affecting the performance of fiduciary responsibilities and development of new products
Assist the Head of Strategic Business and Analytics on ad hoc strategic initiatives
Liaise, build and maintain good rapport with the different departments, i.e. front and back offices
Comply with regulatory requirements, company and group policies; maintain compliance awareness
Relevant educational qualifications, a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking, Commerce or equivalent
Experience in asset management or related industry
With 2 years or more work experience in banking, finance, or investments industry (highly preferred)
Knowledge of asset management products
Knowledge of economics and financial markets
MBA/CFA is a plus
Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Quick thinking, creative and innovative; marketing oriented
Efficient and thorough, detail-oriented
Persistent - has follow through
Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
High level of integrity
Associate / Supervisor Accounting and Finance Asset Management 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
