Note: This position requires the successful candidate to already be licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Certified Equities Securities Salesmen (ESS).
Supports the Sales team through the accurate, timely and smooth execution of trade orders of equities listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) and other financial instruments distributed by the Corporation.
Major Responsibilities:
Manages and/or executes the trading orders of institutional and high net-worth individual clients conscientiously and diligently ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
Provide and ensure timely and accurate end-of-day confirmation to clients
Provides the Customer Service Unit or other concerned teams (i.e. Operations) with accurate and complete information regarding client requests and complaints to ensure that concerns are addressed efficiently.
Participates actively in business-related associations and organizations in order to foster goodwill, generate top of mind awareness, create/re-enforce relationships and to remain updated on industry developments and initiatives.
Keeps abreast of current events, including political, economic and listed company developments that may have an impact on the investment opportunities and risks of institutional clients.
Ensures compliance to internal and external policies and regulations.
Performs other responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education: College graduate of a four-year business course preferably in Economics, Financial Management, Management Engineering, or at least two years' related experience and/or training in the trading business.
Experience: 1-3 years experience in trading.
Skill: Good arithmetic / computational reasoning, deductive and inductive reasoning.
Knowledge: must have a sound knowledge of capital markets (i.e. debt and equity market both local and global), must develop expertise in interpreting implications for investment decisions. Must have good comprehension of financial accounts, economies and politics
Personality: Organized and systematic, flexible and tolerant, team player.
