BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB
The position of Statusing Specialist is responsible for the procurement and process application as it supports Insight's operations and order fulfillment. This will include working operational issues with suppliers, providing strong client service, and maintaining data accuracy within SAP. The statusing specialist will be empowered to review open orders, maintain ETA's, and update tracking information. Teamwork with internal and external departments is necessary to ensure achievement of overall team goals.

Backlog Management:
Responsible for obtaining vendor estimated ship dates from vendor websites
Responsible for utilizing multiple mediums to communicate with vendors to obtain vendor estimated ship dates as necessary
Review daily vendor reporting and apply the required information to the backlog
Post supplier tracking and invoice information within SAP and close open orders by processing the goods receipt
Respond to general sales requests including lead time, pricing, and general vendor inquiries within allotted service levels (SLAs)
Meet daily goals for number of backlog lines completed
Management of data integrity across area of responsibility & reporting system / data integrity issues
Work with various departments within Insight
Backup other team members in their absence by having knowledge and cross training of their programs and job functions
Partner with senior statusing specialist and buyers for issue resolution
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:
One year experience in customer service, data entry or other related field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to effectively interpret information in a variety of different means and achieve the same outcome. Enjoys repetitive tasks and procedures and has a desire to create efficiency within those tasks.
Strong client service skills and commitment to meet or exceed client requirements. Ability to understand and respond to client needs. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills required. Strong Microsoft Office skills with a focus on Excel.
