Job Requirements:
Registered Nurse in the Philippines, graduate of Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
Job Responsibilities:
Admits patient to the unit efficiently using the nursing process and customer service standards.
Obtains a thorough and ongoing data collection upon arrival to the and throughout OR stay.
Obtains comprehensive relevant data using appropriate assessment techniques, monitoring equipment, and diagnostic results
Utilizes data gathered from assessment to identify nursing problems/ diagnosis and in formulation the nursing plan of care specific for pre, intra and post operative patients and those receiving sedation or anesthesia.
Executes nursing interventions in a safe, appropriate, in a timely manner and congruent with the hospitals customer service standards. Delivers nursing care with the highest level of confidentiality and consistent with the Patient's Bill of Rights (i.e. Right to privacy, right to confidentiality, right to refuse treatment)
Performs pre-operative visit a day before scheduled/ elective surgery. Education activities includes but not limited to orientation to OR set-up and policies, breathing exercises, the members of the surgical team, the conduct of the surgical safety protocol.
Adheres to established protocol in ensuring patient safety
Demonstrates skills in manipulating and troubleshooting bedside equipment
