Performs Environmental Product Engineering tasks such as Customer Questionnaire (CQ) response and closure, maintenance of Environmental Product Stewardship Page, supplier environmental compliance for existing and new suppliers (OSAT and Direct materials (DM)), New Product Development environmental deliverables (RoHS certificate and Material Declaration Form (MDF) posting) for OSAT and DM , Supplier Rating, act as a trainer for environmental product compliance, and as a subject matter expert (SME) to New Materials environmental regulations compliances/customer requirements, support to 3rd party audits on envi product & supplier compliance topics.
Responsibilities:
Customer Questionnaire (CQ) closure on environmental product topics (e.g.: RoHS, MDF/FMD, Test reports, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), International Material Data System (IMDS), China Automotive Material Declaration System (CAMDS), Hazardous substances related surveys like REACH, PFAS, TSCA)
Respond (update and maintain) to customer product environmental portals (e.g.:Full Material Declaration (FMD); BOMCheck portals, DataCross, Assent Compliance for various customers)
Ensure maintenance of ams OSRAM Semiconductor Environmental Product Stewardship Page
Supplier Environmental Compliance for existing and New Suppliers (GEN - 125 ams Standard for Suppliers, GEN - 123 Supplier Non-use of Hazardous Substances Declaration, GEN - 122 Supplier Guarantee Letter for EU Packaging Directive 94/62/EC, etc.) for OSAT and Direct Materials.
Performs environmental deliverables in New Product Development (NPD)
a. Executes GEN - 186 Environmental Product Compliance as RoHS Certificate, Test reports, MSDS and BOM review, regulatory declarations as REACH/PFAS/customer specific requirements)
b. Reviews and posts MDF (detailed review, uploading and updating in the MDF System Database) for OSAT and Direct materials.
c. Reviews and post MDF for PCN in BOM.
Supplier Performance Rating (Environmental Compliance Demonstration review)
Act as a Trainer for Environmental Product Compliance (MDF, IMDS/CAMDS, GEN - 186, etc.)
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to New Materials Environmental Regulations compliances.
Support internal, external and customer audits on EPE.
Weekly, Monthly report submission and presentation to management and EPE team.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or its equivalent) in the areas of Chemical and Chemistry.
Experience in international environmental regulations compliance reviews.
In-depth knowledge in Material Declaration Forms (MDF) creation, Test reports and Material Data Sheet (MSDS) compliances.
More than 5 years' experience in semiconductor industry with background in environmental product compliance, understanding on device qualification in hazardous material controls, test reports compliances.
Experience in the semiconductor (assembly) industry is an added advantage.
ISO 14001 experience is preferred.
Experience in internal auditing for environmental management systems is preferred.
