Overview
SolarWinds is looking to hire their next Sr. ETL Developer for their PH-BGC site. The selected professional will be an individual contributor on the Business Applications team and is responsible for Extract, Transform, and Load processes, implementing technical solutions to do so within the company, including systems related to the data warehousing.
Responsibilities
Perform ETL data migration, extracting from various sources then transforming data obtained to a specified format/calculation and finally loading this to its target destination.
Deliver ETL package solutions from design to deployment phases.
Deliver data migration solution using an ETL tool (e.g. Informatica PowerCenter, IBM Datastage, Talend, Pentaho, SSIS, Oracle Data integrator, Matillion, NiFi).
Fix defects raised during testing or update mapping/code due to a change request.
Apply the proper data modeling concepts and industry best practices to ETL solutions.
Participate in team development of various business process solutions used by SolarWinds departments.
Create project estimates used by project managers to schedule work.
Collaborate with different groups in development and implementation of projects.
Willing to work on a Mid-Shift (EMEA) schedule
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant fields
Experience with the design, build and test of medium to large scale ETL solutions integrating multiple source and target systems
Experience developing using ETL tool (Informatica PowerCenter, IBM Datastage, Talend, Pentaho, SSIS, Oracle Data integrator, Matillion, NiFi)
Experience applying data modeling and data warehousing techniques
Experience in analyzing business requirements then formulating technical solution via the specified ETL environment
Able to identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution
Able to describe and discuss ETL tasks, issues and ideas with counterparts
Intermediate to Advanced JavaScript (HTML and general scripting)
Intermediate to Advanced Web Services (SOAP and REST)
Intermediate to Advanced MS SQL
Familiar with Boomi and Snowflake a plus
Excellent communication skills
Fluent in spoken and written English (as this will require interaction w/ counterparts offshore)
