Position Responsibilities
Deltek is looking for a highly motivated individual to join a team of database administrators that support development, maintenance and deployment of enterprise software. The position requires an individual who is well versed with RDBMS systems and has experience developing client server applications with Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS. The individual will be part of the greater Operations team that support build deployments, troubleshoot deployment issues for internal environments and provide timely resolutions. The candidate will create database scripts and work extensively with Windows Powershell and batch scripts. The individual will support the configuration management process by promoting database scripts through multiple environments. The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with other teams as well as working independently in an individual capacity. Lastly, the individual should be familiar with development using Agile Methodologies and other SDLC models.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Science or related area
Four to Five years of experience working with SQL Server RDBMS and data modelling
Experience working with recent Microsoft SQL Server versions (SQL 2019) including knowledge of new features
Ability to develop TSQL scripts and stored procedures
Experience with creating and managing database objects like tables, indexes, constraints etc.
Experience with Windows scripting and Windows Powershell is required
Working Knowledge of SQL Server Availability Groups and Windows Clustering
Experience of working with version control (TFS/Git)
Knowledge of SQL Server performance troubleshooting preferred
Excellent Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours including late night hours to coordinate and support the team in USA
Possesses strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
