About Role:
Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified individuals for management, executive and specialist positions, which are often complex in nature. Provides consulting services to hiring managers and advises on hiring strategies. Responsible for the assignment of work to the Recruiting Team. Provides input into the performance management process for the team.

Major Duties:
Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified individuals for management, executive, and specialist positions. May at times handle all levels of recruitment.
Interfaces with management to understand their needs for specific job functions and the requirements of different business areas.
Consults management on hiring practices, policies and procedures.
Develops pipeline for hard to fill or high volume positions.
Utilizes innovative recruitment strategies.
Identifies and maintains relationships with relevant third party recruiting organizations.
Coordinates the use of third party recruiting organizations with Human Resources Managers and hiring managers.
Negotiates rates with third party providers and ensures appropriate contractual arrangements are established with them.
Sells Northern and consults with managers and their teams on presenting Northern as an employer of choice.
Constructs and negotiates complex offers of employment and consults with hiring managers
Proactively maintains market knowledge, including undertaking research.
Keeps abreast of recruiting best practices and introduces them to Northern as appropriate.
May review the work of and/or mentor more junior recruiting staff.
Handles more extensive, high profile work.
Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.
Strategic in developing, implementing and administering HR programs within functional areas.
Works on assigned projects and may serve as project lead.
Has a secondary focus of supervising people while still doing work. The supervisor related work includes training new employees or those with lesser experience, reviewing work of others, and providing regular feedback and coaching to employees.
Assigns tasks to the Recruiting team. Organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activity, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.
Provides input into the performance management process and staffing decisions. May conduct the full performance management process.
Qualification/Experience Required:
A College or University degree and/or some relevant human resources work experience for a financial services environment is required. Related Industry qualification or studying towards, is preferred May be technically sound in some area of expertise and limited knowledge of other areas.
Should have at least 10+ years of relevant experience in Talent Acquisition, in financial services domain
Team Leading experience is a must
Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions with limited direction.
Requires good analytical ability, excellent oral and written communication skills and solid judgment.
Solid consulting skills and experienced in client servicing and relationship building.
Strong systems skills, particularly with recruitment systems.
Good understanding of compensation policies and practices.
