Position purpose:
In this highly visible role, you'll help lead the development and execution of communication projects across multiple internal audiences. You'll take an active leadership role as you strategize, plan, and create content that informs, engages, and inspires our employees. The right person is a self-starter who's creative, organized, personable, and a fantastic communicator.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Lead, develop, and implement effective integrated communication plans, including strategies and tactics using all possible channels to reach employees at the right time with the right messaging.
Includes timeframes, tracking, reporting status, measurement tactics, and more.
Create meaningful communications and content that intentionally connect with our employees, contributes to an engaging and inclusive employee experience, shape our culture, ensure comprehension, and align with our brand.
Consult, collaborate, and partner with senior and executive leaders to understand business and departmental objectives, priorities, and key messages.
Work on high-priority projects and key initiatives that deliver outcomes aligned to the needs of the business.
Serve as a go-to person for urgent and time-sensitive communications.
Be an expert on the voice and tone of Afni, a champion for the company, and an advocate of the bias-free writing style of Afni.
Track and analyze available data to generate concrete feedback for stakeholders and improve communication strategy.
Proactively seek ways to improve our ability to support Afni in reaching its goals while keeping employees informed and aligned.
Additional communication requests as assigned. (Client communications, social media content, press releases, etc.)
Requirements
Minimum job requirements:
Fluent in English and experienced in creating communications for an English-speaking audience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
Willing to work 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. shift Mondays-Fridays. Only apply if you're willing.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in communications. Internal/employee communications experience is highly preferred.
Solid experience in strategic communications planning and execution for internal audiences.
Strong portfolio of examples proving your ability to message effectively for various audiences and initiatives.
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail are required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with shifting priorities.
A team-first attitude.
Proficiency in SharePoint, 0365, and MS Office.
