What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Job Description/Expectation:
Application IT Support for Business Users
Perform troubleshooting and provide Root Cause Analysis
Understands the MVC software design (Model-View-Controller)
Reports Preparation and Distribution
Application Smoke Testing
Effective Time Management - with strict adherence to deadlines.
Job Requirements:
Required Expertise:
Application Development (preferred language: JAVA, JavaScript)
Application Maintenance (Analytical and Problem-solving Skills)
IT Service Management System
Knowledge/Know-how needed:
Familiarity on Application/Web Development, Web Services (SOAP/REST API), Databases (SQL), Servers Management
Required Exposure:
Strong Communication Skills
Technology Required:
Primary Technology: Java, SQL, Web Services, Angular, Spring MVC
Secondary Technology: ServiceNow, JIRA, Jenkins, Version Control (Git/SVN), Postman, GCP, PCF
Optional/Nice to Have: Better understanding for Full Stack Development
Good comprehension of SDLC, Waterfall and Agile Methodology
Minimum Years Experience: 3 years
Preferred Educational Background: University Graduate with bachelor's degree (Engineering/IT)
