Sr. Analyst Programmer, OracleDairy Farm Group

The DFSC Senior Analyst Programmer is responsible for delivering quality software development and maintenance services in accordance with the Group's Software Development Life Cycle standard. The role performs high complexity software development work under the direction of the Application Development Manager, such as major enhancements to a specific module of a core system, or the development of new system
Key responsibilities
Leads other Jr. Analyst Programmers and analyst Programmers in developing and maintaining application software
Develop, test, maintain and debug programs in accordance with the Group's Software Development Life Cycle
Ensures that programs delivered operate according to functional and non-technical specifications
Critically reviews programs prior SIT or UAT, to verify consistency and conformance with established coding standards
Ensures that programs have minimal defects and have gone through agreed Quality Assurance checks
Conduct performance tuning of programs to meet the performance criteria as set-out in the Technical Design Specifications (TDS)
Liaise and coordinate with Business Systems Analysts / Business Process Designers /Project Managers for software change requests, issues or problems
Support Business Systems Analysts during UAT period
Schedule, prepare and deliver software changes to both production and development systems
Provide 3rd level production support to investigate and resolve issues meeting service level agreements as required by the business.
Install development software and appropriate tools to create and maintain applications required for production, test and disaster recovery environments.

Role Specific Technical Competencies
5+ years operational support/development experience in Oracle Merchandising application or other related retail applications based on management of core merchandise information including product management, trading terms, purchasing, receiving, promotions, sales, invoice matching, reporting and analysis
Deep understanding and knowledge in Systems Analysis and Design
Excellent knowledge and ability to perform functional analysis and investigation in Oracle merchandising application or other retail applications
Excellent knowledge and ability to create SQL query using Oracle SQL tools (e.g. Toad, Oracle SQL Developer
Intermediate knowledge in Shell Scripting
Knowledgeable in Oracle Forms/Reports (6i, 10g)
With background in Oracle PL/SQL development for Packages, Procedures, and Functions
With actual experience in Oracle Forms/Reports Development using Oracle Developer Suite
With actual experience in Oracle Application Server
Knowledgeable and understands intermediate computer concepts in Windows
Knowledgeable and understands intermediate computer concepts in Unix/Linux
Advance understanding on Client-server architecture
Intermediate knowledge in Oracle DB 9i/10g/11g
Ability to perform code level investigation in Oracle PL/SQL
Knowledge in Oracle 12c is a plus
