Job Description
REVENUE: 1) Assure best Quality of the manufactured products for satisfaction of Continental customers and support the achievement of the revenue target. 2) Execution of Quality/Productivity and do proactive feedback for any gap.
PROFIT: 1) Implement robust process controls in managing Suppliers to prevent defects from entering the shop floor (scrap, NCC, blocked stocks) to achieve the profit target. 2) Drives and coordinates with Suppliers to analyze material issues and implement preventive actions to reduce / eliminate SCB / cost deductions. 3) Support in the Collection of the supplier related Non conformance Cost (NCC) thru SCB process or cost deduction thru RMA
STRATEGY/PLANNING: 1) Establish Quality strategy to achieve the targets aligned with Company goals and objectives 2) Review past performances, perform risk assessment versus company goals and objectives.
3) Define key focus areas, measurables, targets and identify projects that will impact the achievement of KPI's.
4) Deploy agreed Quality strategy to all interested parties
NEW BUSINESS/PRODUCT/TECHNOLOGY: 1) Review New Product launch projects up to Series Production release and safe-launch activities. 2) Perform Maturity Evaluation on component Level 3) Perform Supplier Component Review 4) Track and evaluate Feasibility Commitment 5) Approve or reject sourcing decision based on Quality evaluation 6) Perform APQP with supplier
7) Track and update Component Lifecycle Management System (CLMS) and SupplyOn APQP 8) Approve and release PSW to supplier 9) Perform Risk Assessment in case of deviation and drive risk minimization 10) Prepare and Perform Risk Assessment in case of deviation and drive risk minimization 11) Be abreast on New technologies related to Quality topics.
QUALITY/PRODUCTIVITY: 1) Employ Continental Quality System to assure all related processes meets the requirements of International Standards and Customer, and improving the system whenever necessary in a lean approach. 2) Manage and promote effective use of quality tools, processes, and systems to support customer quality requirement. 3) Ensures compliances. Develop and continuously improve the Supplier Quality Systems to ensure systems are in place to prevent process and product excursions. 4) Provide quality engineering services to achieve quality targets of products shipped and ensure compliance to quality systems. 5) Initiates in driving Suppliers towards zero defect through collaborative efforts with multi-disciplinary Team 6) Ensure continuous supply chain to meet production demands through Risk Assessment review and implementation of Containment action from both Supplier and Continental Plant side.
7) Support in improvement activities, data system and improvement process of all supplier quality-related processes, guidelines and tools through internal audits, on-site assessments, and bench marking and best practice sharing programs. 8) Manage and promote effective use of quality tools, processes, and systems to support customer quality requirement. 9) Introduce and maintain appropriate prevention oriented SQM processes
10) Plans, initiate, controls and reports the quality performance Indicators 11) Handle change notification management (PCN/ECR). 12) Reporting/ controlling of key performance (KPIs) indicators for his commodity
13) Create and maintain the complaint towards the supplier and validate the 8D from the supplier
14) Continues observation of the quality performance of the supplier 15) Defines together with RnD the Quality plan at Incoming Inspection for newly sourced parts.
16) Ensure that appropriate actions/ measures are initiated based on Quality Reporting 17) Control the effectiveness of the local SQM processes (Process Reviews)
EXTERNAL/INTERNAL RELATIONS: 1) Maintain and expand the business partnership with customers, suppliers and other interested parties. 2) Understand customer requirements and deliver accordingly 3) Ensures Continental Quality requirements are clearly understood by Supplier during Sourcing Phase 4) Implementation and execution of escalation process
TALENT DEVELOPMENT: 1) Actualize Skill Needs Assessment (SNA) of team members towards the desired competency level 2) Regularly review and improve the SNA
ORGANIZATION BUILDING/SUPPORT: 1) Engaging and directing the organization towards Quality First Mindset in a multicultural environment 2) Develop, maintain and implement effective quality solutions to meet customer expectation 3) Spearhead Quality programs like Quality Month, Quality Basic Training, Quality Awards
ENVIRONMENT / CSR: 1) Promote Core Values and Malasakit culture through active involvement in Company activities 2) Initiate Malasakit activities 3) Participate in Human Relations in their CSR and GWP activities
OTHERS: 1) Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor

EDUCATION: Bachelor Science of Engineering: Electrical, Electronics and Communications, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Computer, Materials
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: a) Knowledgeable in Quality Management System
b) Working experience in any Mechanical Manufacturing industry (i.e. PCB, Stamping, Casting, Cable, Plastic Mechatronics, Rubber)
PROJECT/PROCESS EXPERIENCE: a) Experience in manufacturing and component introduction processes.
b) Project issues and problem resolution experience
c) Risk assessment involvement
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE: a) Experience in leading and developing people.
b) Capable in handling and communicating with Suppliers and customers
c) Collaborates effectively
INTERCULTURAL/INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: a) Experience in working with people of different cultures
