Job Description
Establish spend management policies and implementing rules within Information Services Group, working with Finance that will bring proper financial management and stewardship to deliver a cost efficient and value driven operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contributes to the enhancements and implementation of costing methodology covering data collection process, results validation and other key processes.
Organizes and orchestrates meetings/discussions to gather relevant costing information, drivers, assumptions and commitments from proponents and various business units.
Coordinates and monitors the resolution of issues/gaps which may be encountered.
Performs special/ad-hoc spend analysis as requested by the business.
Builds and maintains the Capex/Opex Model in the activity-based management system (oversees the other users to ensure alignment in data inputs and reports generation).
Supports organization-wide cost studies and cost transformation initiatives.
Escalates issues as needed.
Provides support in driving the Cost Transformation Agenda of the CIO, CTIO and CFO.
Budgeting with ISG Budget Reps and Finance
Drives ISG's division's budgeting process and outlooking exercise through regular performance review and analysis
Provide relevant and timely assessment versus the budget by facilitating periodic forecasting and reporting to the CIO and ISG Leadership, in coordination with the ISG budget reps
Spend Management Monitoring
Builds accurate reporting of ISG's opex and capex expenditure
Monitors and explores opportunities to rationalize operating expenses, capital expenditures and resource/manpower headcount
Monitors variances in actual vs. planned utilization of allotted resources, and determines and resolves causes of the identified gaps (if any)
Analyzes and communicates operational and expense updates against budget commitments to management. Coordinates with concerned ISG Division Heads and Budget reps accordingly.
Cost Control
Identify potential improvements in terms of cost efficiency and budget adherence
Interprets information in financial statements to evaluate cost efficiency and cost effectiveness
Crafts, analyzes and presents management reports to ISG Leads, CIO and Leadership team
Timely escalates issues or items requiring management direction or attention
REQUIREMENTS
A.Financial Management and Control
Ability to govern ISG implementation of cost utilization guided by appreciation of the financial management principles
Ability to identify drivers, consolidate and present overall ISG budget and actual expenses
B.Work Experience
At least 5 years experience working in a Financial Institution
Requirement on strong Financial and Accounting background preferably with IT/Telco, Retail/FMCG, Banking industry experience
Preferably with additional background on Financial Management or Business Management
C.Level of Knowledge
Bachelor's degree minimum requirement in Accounting, Financial Management, Business Management or any related field
Preferred with Accounting license
Membership or affiliation in related field or professional organization(s) is not required
Expert in financial principles interpretation, internal communications
