Role Type Permanent What you'll be doing: The successful candidate will be joining the Avon Cosmetics Inc. Philippine Market Finance Team and will be responsible for the: (1) overall management of the company's internal controls for the accounting and financial operations, (2) assisting and supporting the company with testing and monitoring the controls to ensure compliance requirements are met, (3) supporting ongoing audits and assessing risk in terms of financial, operational and strategic controls (4) conducting the necessary trainings and workshops for control owners Key responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities: Performing general planning, monitoring, reporting and testing activities in compliance with and in preparation for audit cycles reviewing narratives and developing plans with business process owners as necessary. Perform testing procedures to validate and assess the design and the operational effectiveness of internal controls and support self-assessment reviews for the local market. Ensuring that all required documentation for in-scope SOX controls are uploaded in Audit Board timely and completely by control owners. Performing and monitoring process reviews, operational checklist audits, and standardized internal controls ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Providing general training and assistance to cross-functional teams working in areas and/or processes that are subject to SOX processes and procedures. Maintaining current knowledge of laws and regulations relating to Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance and GAAP auditing requirements as they affect assigned functions. Collaborating with other internal and external auditors ensuring cooperation and coordination of efforts. Building positive relationships across management at all levels to effectively deliver audit solutions and contribute directly to business success. Participating in process reviews and ad hoc projects as assigned. We'd love you to have: BS in Accounting, Economics or Finance Preferably with 3-4 years of experience as Internal Auditor Must also have at least 1-2 year of experience with the following: testing operational and financial compliance with internal policies and procedures developing and monitoring internal controls developing control test plans from the ground up communicating test results to management conducting walkthroughs of key business processes to evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls preparing narratives and flowcharts assisting external auditors as needed providing general training and assistance pertaining to SOX processes and procedures within the assigned function(s) Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong influencing/relationship management skills Strong organizational and management skills Knowledgeable in using MS Office tools especially Excel and PowerPoint What we offer: At Avon, we believe beauty is for everyone and that it's beautiful to be you.
