We are looking for Supply Development Engineer/Sourcing Engineer in Eaton's Electrical Business, based in Tanauan, Batangas. This position is responsible for sourcing management primarily for metal commodities for Power Quality (PQ) PH Plant. Supporting initiatives to achieve growth, localization, cost out plan, quality improvement, delivery goals and other supply chain initiatives for the APAC Region. This position is also the key person to lead special projects in the organization.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible in localization and sourcing primarily metal parts for Eaton PQ PH through RFQ, negotiation, benchmarking, qualification both the supplier
Work with PQ Metals Category Manager to develop sheet metal parts sourcing strategies to effectively leverage ES spend in APAC and Global to identify synergies and supplier roadmap strategies to deliver cost benefits
Lead critical, strategic cost out projects (including using SHOULD COST analysis) to ensure key cost reduction targets are met and process is maximized to deliver expected results
Lead supply base development, prequalification and management to ensure cost-effective supply with consistent quality and acceptable service & delivery levels for PHP plant
Ensure commodity strategies are aligned with latest internal and external environmental, market and economic factors. Build and maintain organizational consensus and alignment to the PQD commodity strategies
Conduct Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers on a regular basis annually
Work with Metals Category Manager to negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts, Long Term Agreements, cost negotiations and relationships
Applies skillful negotiations with suppliers; conducts problem resolution and settles disputes; develops win/win solutions and creates positive relations with tact and expert judgment
Develop strong positive ethical relationships with suppliers & adhere to Eaton's Code of Conduct
Qualifications
If You Have/Are:
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent
3-5 years of related experience
Knowledgeable in metals commodity; expertise in the areas of market trend, raw material and manufacturing
Experience in metal stamping manufacturing
Experience in manufacturing industry is required
Knowledgeable in manufacturing set-up, processes and discipline
R & D / product development knowledge is an advantage
Knowledge of SAP ERP system is a plus
