The Role
Solution Engineer provides on-site solutions implementation, troubleshooting, customer training, and customer support services for markem-imaje Packaging Intelligence solutions. Installs and validates solutions functionality and performance against project deliverables. Solutions engineer is required to act in a professional manner and enhances customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides on-site support, installation to customer acceptance for Packaging Intelligence solutions, software and hardware
Installs new or modified solutions accessories at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications, including electrical testing and optical set up.
Implement interfaces with external systems.
Coordinates problem resolution with project engineering, customer support, and other personnel
Maintains high quality and on time reports, and update in JIRA
Communicates and alerts Project Manager of all exceptions and/or events that might affect project deliverables as per Detailed Design Specifications.
Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
Updates delivered solutions packages, or provides updated information to the Project Engineer, as needed for "As Built" updates.
Validates and makes recommendations to project documentation and project drawings as required.
Provides customer documentation including operator guide and updates to standard solution drawings as required.
Develops and conducts customer training on the safe operation of Packaging Intelligence solutions.
Follows all necessary compliance with safety regulations and knowledge of international regulations and standards or familiarity with quality standards like ISO9001.
Understand Packaging Intelligence service delivery methodology and acts as the first line of customer contact and the owner of customer relationships
Significant coordination with customers and OEM partner companies is required
Follows all necessary compliance and all safety regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Background in Engineering, automation-based systems, including programmable Logics (OPC), network, IO devices, and other automation devices, with 3-years of related experience
Computer Skills and aptitude for quickly learning new software tools and computer hardware
Is knowledgeable in packaging industry automation products, and able to install, configure, and validate performance of Packaging Intelligence solutions package against project deliverables
Understanding of service delivery methodology
Must be fluent in English, multi-lingual is preferred
Knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Visio, and flow documentation tools.
Acts in a professional manner and enhances customer satisfaction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels for the organization
Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment

REQUIREMENTS -
Bachelor or comparable degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Computer, or Automation)
Experience with packaging line equipment, preferably in pharmaceutical and/or food packaging industries
Proven track record of installing solutions across multiple sites and or countries
Willingness to travel both domestic and international
