As a web solutions architect, you will manage and maintain three core web applications including the external facing website and the internal intranet. You will be responsible for all design, architecture, solutioning and delivery of these web applications. You will provide technical direction and oversight to the webdev team to effectively align all activities with Marketing's and HR's business objectives.
Job Summary:
-Work with Marketing and other business groups to understand product requirements, scope and timeline requirements. Manage multiple requests/initiatives and business expectations
-Employ best practices to design solutions, maintain solution documents and get approvals necessary to pass them through change control
-Provide technical direction and guidelines for the WebDev team to follow in implementing solutions
-Take overall responsibility for software code base and promotion pipeline management
-Define coding and testing standards, perform code reviews and institute peer review standards
-Conduct website performance tests and setup monitoring capabilities
-Provide immediate response and action in case of Sev1 (major) application outages and incidents.
Manage escalations of issues with appropriate responses.
-Setup Azure platform that best contributes to website performance and scalability
-Conduct complex tasks and assignments, within best practice, as directed while working under moderate supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
Job Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
-Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry good practice for architecture within and related to Web Applications
-Minimum of 7 years hands on experience developing solutions using WordPress and 3+ years using
WordPress VIP platform
-Expert level knowledge of WordPress Core, theme and plugin development with a strong understanding of all commonly used web technologies including JavaScript, CSS and JQuery
-LAMP Stack development expertise (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PhP)
-Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role on other platforms
-Understanding and exposure to Progress' Sitefinity CMS is a plus
-Ability to determine scope and estimate work effort of development activities.
-Ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a proven track record of design and implementation of complex multi-tenant end to end solutions
Other:
-Can work remotely most of the time but should be able to be in the office when required
