Role Overview:
The Solar Pre-Development Engineer will lead technical and regulatory activities during the early stages of solar PV projects. This role ensures feasibility, compliance, and optimal design strategies to prepare projects for successful execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for solar PV projects.
Prepare technical documentation for permitting and compliance with DOE and local authorities.
Develop preliminary system designs using PVsyst.
Analyze grid interconnection requirements and coordinate with utility companies.
Support financial modeling and due diligence for project investment proposals.
Maintain accurate records of pre-development activities and provide progress reports.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
Professional Engineer license (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 4-5 years in solar or renewable energy project development.
Familiarity with Philippine permitting processes and DOE guidelines.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in PV design software (PVsyst).
nowledge of grid interconnection standards and electrical system design.
Certifications:
Preferred Attributes:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
