Description
The is role will be a business lead for Commercial Solar Design (Roof top, Ground mount) and estimation, Commercial Battery Storage and into the next generation of solar offerings.
The Solar Design Engineer will also provide sales and operational support to the Project Management and Operations team and develops the skills required to become a wider energy efficiency specialist in solar, battery storage and energy management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Commercial Solar Design and Estimation
o Prepare solar designs and quotations using Aurora Solar and PVSell.
o Prepare company tenders including pricing, product specification and submission strategy.
o Develop the in-house competencies required to estimate Large Scale Solar, Ground Mount, Off-grid and complex solar projects.
o Provide exceptional service levels and administration excellence to all customers and other stakeholders of the Echo Group.
• Commercial Battery Storage
o Develop the in-house competencies to estimate commercial battery storage.
o Be a technical knowledge database for the wider group team.
o Provide general recommendations to ensure our battery portfolio and capabilities will offer the best solutions for customers and compliance to Australian standards.
• Next Generation Offerings
o Develop the in-house competencies to estimate commercial solar carport.
o Be a technical knowledge database for the wider group team.
o Provide general recommendations to ensure our next generation offering and capabilities will offer the best solutions for customers and compliance to Australian standards.
• Sale and Operational Support
o Provide exceptional service levels to all customers as a direct inbound enquiry point.
o Provide technical and administrative support to the sales team.
o Provide operational administrative support to the PM team for all commercial projects.
o Contribute to the wider Echo team through a positive and proactive approach to continuous improvement and business growth.
• Energy Efficiency Specialist
o Become a product expert in the Echo Group range.
o Review quotation/tender sales and profit growth opportunities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have high accuracy/attention to detail
• Strong problem solving capabilities
• Has great skills in identifying customer's needs
• Strong understanding of the Solar Industry, STC/LGC subsidy programs, Nearmaps and PVSell
• Knowledge in Aurora Solar, HElioSCope, PVSell and AutoCAD
• Has positive attitude, resilient and has great time management skills
• Great communication and listening skills
