A Software Test Engineer plays a critical function of ensuring that our software delivers on our promise of improved reliability and performance of our customers IT assets. And leverage your competencies and passion to drive high quality results and exceed customer expectations in terms of our solutions.
Your work focuses on but are not limited to implementing automated and manual testing, which includes scripting, test automation programming, test tool authoring, tests planning, test case creation, test execution, debugging, and software defect analysis and reporting.
Key duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for controls assurance, design test plans for complex systems in accordance with overall testing strategy.
Analyze and verify best automated and manual test approach and execute acceptance, integration, installation and system testing.
Investigate/troubleshoot problems in the software to help assist software developers in correcting a defect.
Write test case and execution as needed to present clear results to developers and other key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Ability in one or more programming or scripting languages, preferably Python
Working knowledge in bash/batch scripting
Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
Working understanding of techniques for testing software
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Highly accurate and detail-oriented
