Software Solutions Engineering Lead
Location: Temporary Work-From-Home (offices located at Mandaluyong and Quezon City)
Shift Schedule: Day shift but should be flexible to night shift as needed
We are currently looking for an innovative and passionate Software Solutions Engineering Lead. Working under the Engineering team, your goal is to lead engineers that make software solutions and operations support to different clients and teams of the company. These involve operating existing automation and integration platforms of customers and internal products & tooling that increase efficiency and better partnerships with our customers.
YOUR ROLE
Lead a team of Software Engineers that:
Build and maintain software solutions (applications and services) of the clients.
Build applications that help operations perform diagnosis and streamline routine workflows in operations.
Create SMART goals for technical deliverables and act as guide through technical challenges
Immerse into day-to-day Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps work to feel and experience pain points and be able to efficiently address into authoring and contributing to tooling and automation.
Work with a wide range of customers' software and engineering teams to support their workflows or integrate their technology in our workflows and solutions platforms.
Write clear and consumable documentation.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years in a Team or Technical leadership role
Software Developer with 5-8 years of solid foundational experience in working with any of the following languages, Python, JavaScript, Java, Golang or C++, and associated frameworks like Flask or Django
Experience in building and maintaining applications/software solutions for different types of customers
Good working knowledge and experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimizing systems
At least 3 years' experience in working with agile development methodologies and mindset including DevOps and Scrum
At least 3 years experience in handling Linux/UNIX Operating Systems and Shell Scripting
Experience with database development including relational database design, SQL and ORM technologies
Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
Passion for eliminating repetitive manual processes using automation
Internally motivated, able to maintain productivity by balancing independent and collaborative work
Strong communication and ownership skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
Strong project management skills with the ability to scope sprints and estimate timelines to deliver projects successfully and on-time
Capable of working independently without supervision
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
PLUS POINTS
Experience in implementing automated testing
Experience with user interface design and prototyping
Knowledge or Experience on building and deploying applications to Cloud providers like AWS and GCP
Experience in the usage and administration of Monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Sensu, Nagios, Zabbix
Knowledge or Experience in using CI/CD Solutions such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Spinnaker, Artifactory
Worked on Analytics & Observability solutions such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana), Grafana, Splunk
Knowledge in Big Data and Data Processing systems such as Spark, Hadoop and programming such as Pyspark or Scala is a big plus
Knowledge in containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
Knowledge in virtualization technologies like VMware and KVM
Experience in handling production and large numbers of diverse systems with Configuration Management systems like: Puppet, Chef or Ansible
