About the Role
Our mission at Social Pinpoint is to build world-class software. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will lead the process in ensuring our software quality are at the high standards we expect.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be working very closely with our development, product, and design teams. In collaboration with team members, you will determine, write and automate (where appropriate) test cases needed to suit the particular product or project. Social Pinpoint's longer-term plan is to automate most of our testing and create scalable quality assurance processes. This will be a key part of your role from the first day you join us.

Duties & Responsibilities
Perform smoke testing and release tickets testing - You will be required to consistently perform smoke testing and testing release tickets prior to every release. It is critical that you document this process and report on testing results.
Lead the process in creating and defining QA testing processes - We operate like a start-up and hence are looking for leaders to join us in creating a more scalable working environment. We expect you to lead the process in establishing more formal QA processes within our team.
Remain up-to-date with the industry's latest trends and standards in testing - The world is changing at a rapid pace and it's important we not only keep up but stay ahead of the game. Therefore, we expect you to learn, study, research, and grow all the time.
Work independently - We believe in people and trust. As such, Social Pinpoint operates very much like a startup where teams are self-organising and independent in their work. You should be able to work independently, speak up when you need help, and help others when needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
At least 3 years of solid, hands-on experience performing in a QA role.
Familiarity with Automated Testing Suites (e.g. Cypress, Selenium) would be ideal but not required.
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC), models and best practices (in coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, & operations).
Good problem-solving abilities with excellent analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, connecting and collaborating with others.
Average written and verbal communication skills in English.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 07:00AM to 04:00PM (PHT)
Location: Work from Home (WFH) during the COVID-19 pandemic
Salary: Php 60,000.00 - 80,000.00 (commensurate with experience)
