Following the acquisition, we are looking for a talented Software Engineering Manager to lead Manila development team. As Software Engineering Manager you will provide leadership, management, direction, and vision to your team and drive change activities in the software development life cycle. You will work closely with development peers, product and project managers to the successfully deliver world class software solutions. The position is additionally expected to report progress to senior management. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the department budget, identifying and supporting talent, and defining resource requirements and allocations.
Key responsibilities
Providing leadership to the development, DevOps and QA teams
Working closely with product managers, architects and other stakeholders to coordinate the production of advanced complex software and serve as a senior source of expertise
Developing and managing staff, including performance management and assessment, development, mentoring to develop our talent and help individuals reach their potential
Prioritizing projects and ensuring commitments are met while providing high quality and secure systems that meet customers' expectations
Leading the development of technical standards and software development lifecycle processes
Complete team capacity planning activity and provide regular product and development reports
Oversee automate testing especially regression testing
Experience Required:
BSc Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent qualification
Proven experience working in a similar role, leading multiple development teams ideally within a large organisation.
Extensive development experience across a broad portfolio of projects.
Agile Software Development, Scrum. Expertise in industry best practices in offshore partnership development.
Leading test-driven development and maintenance.
Microservices architecture and design methods.
Working with Data pipes and data lake solutions including ETL tooling and solutions.
Track record of developing solutions deployed in cloud environment, ideally AWS.
Implementation, integration and management of complex solutions (distributed, multi-platform, multi-technology).
Skills Required:
Excellent technical leadership, communication and presentation skills. - Ability to engage and liaise with stakeholders across all functions.
Excellent problem-solving ability including leading teams to identify, research and coordinate resources to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues.
Agile software development practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
Solid knowledge of Security Engineering best practices.
Strong skills in setting, communicating, implementing, and achieving business objectives and goals through the direct management of others.
Strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple development teams.
Strong software engineering background.
Technologies:
Java v8 upwards; SQL, Couchbase; Jenkins; Selenium; Talend or similar ETL tooling; AWS-Dynamo,S3
