Job Description
Responsibilities
Partner with Product Owner to align on objectives, priorities, trade offs, and risks
Collaborate with Technology leadership to define the software architecture
Drive the delivery of features by collaborating with clients, multidisciplinary teams, architects, product owners and engineers
Manage daily standups as the ScrumMaster for engineering teams, ensuring that teams have clear priorities and adequate resources
Assemble a product development team that cultivates Lean workflow principles
Advocate for technical excellence and for helping the teams make good decisions
Empower team members to self-organize and develop autonomy
Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
Maintain high morale, motivate the delivery team to go above and beyond
Maintain and foster Vericle’s culture by hiring only the most qualified individuals
Demonstrate continuous improvement in technical expertise, domain knowledge, and leadership skills
Required Skills
3+ years’ experience with the U.S. healthcare domain
3+ years’ experience leading software engineering teams with a demonstrated track record on technically demanding projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
Ability to be nimble, proactive, comfortable working with minimal specifications
Experience working with and implementing software development best practices and methodologies, including Agile
Effective code reviews, testing, SCM, and CI
Experience in hiring, mentoring, and managing engineers
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
Familiarity with ONC and CMS regulatory programs desired.
Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience

Experience with health informatics and standards:
HL7 v2, v3 and RIM
FHIR, SMART on FHIR
Mirth Connect or other interoperability engines
CDS Hooks

CCDA, CCR, CCD

Strong understanding of the following technologies and tools:
Java. Kotlin, Javascript, Angular2+, SQL
RESTful APIs and Web Services
API Security & Federated Identity Technology such as OAUTH 2.0, Open ID Connect, UMA and SAML 2.0
DevOps tools (Docker, Ansible)
Mercurial, Git Version Control
In-depth understanding of:
Distributed systems
Object-oriented design fundamentals and best practices
Web services implementation and healthcare data in the cloud
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Database management
Preferred Additional Qualifications
HL7 Certifications:
CDA Specialist
V2.x Chapter 2 Control Specialist
V3 RIM Specialist
FHIR R4 and STU3 Proficiency Exam
NOTE
Must have stable internet connection minimum of 5 MBPS
Must be comfortable working the US business hours
Must own a laptop with 16GB RAM (32 GB preferred) and i5 processor (i7 preferred)
