Job Description
We are in need of programmers with a basic understanding of networking and network configurations. This role serves two primary functions:
1. The programmer will be using the EMC/VMware Smart Assurance Network Configuration Manager tool to develop regular expression tests to validate that the network device configurations match that of the formally designed standards, design guides and technical bulletins. These standard document sets are updated and published regularly and therefore the compliance test need to be updated to reflect the changes in the standards documents.
2. Automation needs to be developed to deploy these changes in standards documents to the fleet of network equipment (over 5000 different devices across multiple vendors). This automation may or may not leverage the Smart Assurance NCM tool depending on the requirements of the change and the direction set forth by the Director of Network Automation.
Requirements
- Advanced understanding of Regular Expressions
- Working knowledge of various scripting and programming languages: Python, Perl, Bash, Java, GO, and/or JavaScript
- Working knowledge of infrastructure automation frameworks: Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, and/or Puppet
- Full understanding of SDLC lifecycle and ITIL Organization
- Experience in Enterprise Applications and Systems Automations ideal to have
- Experience with Integration, specifically consumption of APIs for Data extraction and manipulation
