The Role
Application Engineer being part of Operations teams has to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers and service continuity to end users. They play a critical role to support our software products and take ownership of customer issues reported. They should be continuously researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues. They are expected to follow standard procedures or work instructions and should reach out to various teams for issue resolutions.
JOB ACTIVITIES
Learn and understand systems and products
Ensure all issues are properly logged
Develop innovative support solutions using cloud technologies
Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams
Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
Learn and Implement SRE practice and SLI/SLO/SLA
YOU MUST HAVE
2- 5 Year experience as software developer or support engineer with computer science background.
Programming experience in Object Oriented Systems using Java, C++ etc
Have experience in Cloud Engineering / Development
