SOCIAL WORKER / WORKPLACE COUNSELOR
 
Role Summary:
 
The workplace counselor is responsible for helping employees overcome challenges to be successful both in the workplace and in their personal lives. The role will encompass the following responsibilities
Workplace Counseling (Individual)
Group Counseling/Therapy
Support Programs
Special/High Risk cases referrals
Impact Measurement and Research
Key Role Responsibilities and Activities:
 
Workplace Counseling (Individual)
Conduct one on one individual counseling as per guidelines/process flow established by Veritacore Philippines
Works with management to evaluate employees with workplace performance issues and develop customized performance improvement plans
Provides one-on-one counseling to employees using appropriate modalities including (but not restricted to) motivational interviewing, CBT, Strength based approach, and therapeutic counseling
Aligns employee behaviors to reflect the company's core values (in particular Integrity and Responsibility)
Support managers and supervisors in dealing with challenging employees and workplace stress through recommendations regarding
Provide regular updates to management regarding progress of the employee in adopting new and helpful behaviors and mindset
Debrief with relevant internal and external staff regarding individual counseling
Implement other modalities as per recommendation from counseling experts
Attends meetings, seminars and conferences
Prepares and submits reports to the head of people's transportation
Workplace Counseling (Group)
Facilitate group counseling/therapy for multiple employees that need additional support in dealing with either workplace or domestic issues
Assess and create safety planning for the victims of Domestic Abuse, Suicide and Self-Harm cases.
Conduct group counseling as per guidelines/process flow established by Veritacore Philippines
Debrief with relevant internal and external staff regarding group counseling
Implement other modalities as per recommendation from counseling experts
Facilitate Support Programs
Implement support programs and activities that promote mental and emotional health in the workplace. These include Learning to Learn, Willpower, Managing My Money
Values Refresher Program and Support Group Sessions for new employees.
Conduct post-implementation review of support program sessions and overall program effectiveness
Recommend modifications to existing programs to improve effectiveness
Provide feedback on new support programs that will be developed by the company
Support for Special or High-Risk Cases
Facilitate referral of employees to 3 rd party organizations when it is identified that the employee has complex needs and/or is in a situation of self-harm
Provide updates to management and recommendations regarding changes to working conditions
Liaise with 3 rd party professionals regarding treatment of the employee and facilitate/support the employee throughout the treatment process
Prepares and submits case studies/assessments to non-government,
Government organization to avail resources for employees who seek further assistance for themselves and their families.
Conducts interviews, case counseling, case management/conferences and home visits to identified employees with special needs.
Impact Measurement and Research
Conduct semi-annual companywide health and well-being surveys.
Validate survey responses to ensure accuracy of results
Report survey outcomes to senior management
Support research activity undertaken by the company (including engagement with external parties)
