Role Summary
818 is looking for someone who can assist with social media management, large projects, events, and community management. He/She will work as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns. He/She must be able to analyze and report audience information and demographics, and success of new and existing social media projects.
Responsibilities
Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive and audience research
Set up and optimize company pages within each social media platform to increase the visibility of company's social content
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
Must-Have:
Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Adequate knowledge in creating social media content
Must have experience with SEO and Email Marketing
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
Keen attention to detail
Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
Enjoys working in a challenging and fast paced environment
Must be a self starter and a strong team player
Ability to work independently and collaborate remotely
Has an excellent grasp of spoken and written English and can articulate ideas clearly and concisely
Must have a strong, type A personality
Must be willing to work US Pacific hours
Nice-to-Have:
Graduate of Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations or any related field
Experience in a startup environment
