About Us
We are an Australian based multi-faceted financial services organization, with an office in Makati, and we are looking for a SMSF Accountant who is both thorough and organized to join our team. The successful candidate will be a key member of a team.
The Role
The key focus of this role is to assist with providing compliance and taxation services to our growing self-managed superannuation funds. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparation of Financial Statements and Annual Tax Returns for SMSFs
Preparation of BAS, annual GST returns and PAYG Payment Summaries when required
Ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and in compliance with SIS Acts and regulations, as well as technical standards and deadlines
Ensuring all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with the organisation's requirements
Support continuous improvement and consistency by adhering to organisational processes and procedures
Liaising with auditors, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other Government bodies in relation to fund audits, lodgements and other queries as required
Assisting the team with pensions and retirement administration
Skills and Experience
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Finance/Accounting/Banking or equivalent
CPA qualified
minimum 3 years or relevant experience
a demonstrated understanding of legislation pertaining to SMSFs
high attention to detail to achieve accuracy
excellent analytical skills
strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
a strong work ethic
excellent English-language communication skills
experience with Class software (desired but not essential)
be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
