Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provides emergency and palliative care and treatments to all employees within the legal scope of nursing responsibility in the absence of the company physician. This includes first-aid, checking of vital signs, health interview, dispensing of medicine, etc.
* Assess and determines health status of employees after an illness in the absence of a company physician. This includes issuance of nursing recommendation (fit and unfit to work)
* Transports ill and injured employees to the nearest hospital and manages patient in the absence of a company physician
* Take care and coordinate functions in the maintenance of environmental sanitation. This includes the canteen inspection, garbage disposal, inspection of lockers and comfort rooms, pest control program, etc.
* Participates actively in disaster control program, fire prevention, earthquake drill, etc.
* Conduct periodic plant rounds to determine and prevent health and safety hazard and create safety awareness among employees.
* Involves actively in the dissemination of health information through company publications or health bulletins, hand outs.
* Orients employees to medical benefits, company rules and regulations in relation to health.
* Creates a therapeutic environment for employee in health on other related problems thus giving way to counselling.
* PCO certified and must have BOSH Training for Safety Officer 3
* Must have accredited Osh Practitioner and WEM Training
