Mission of the role:Reporting to the Group Finance Controller, you will be leading the Philippines Finance Shared Service Organization in Circles.Life, managing the various aspects of accounting operations, monthly close, reporting and compliance activities across the group. You will be an integral part of the Finance team supporting the success of Circles.Life.
What your role here would be like:
Lead and motivate a Philippines Finance Shared Service (PFSS) Team to deliver high quality services within expected turnaround times, to support the growth of international operation.
Management of the timely and accurate production of all financial and statutory accounting, reporting and outputs as well as tax compliance
Develop and improve financial controlling and accounting operations functions
Managing finance projects aimed to improve existing finance processes such as the creation of new value-added tasks to optimise current finance service level.
Manage the monthly/quarterly/annual close periods and ensure completeness of all financial, statutory and group accounting and reporting whilst ensuring compliance with accounting principles/standards and relevant regulations.
Actively promote the sharing of new ideas and best practice across all areas.
Play a lead role in improving the strength of finance talent within the PFSS team; recruit and develop individuals to facilitate proactive succession planning at all level.
Manage, coach, and mentor employees of the PFSS team as appropriate.
Ensure internal control systems are in place, with strict adherence of the Circles Group policies and procedures
Develop new and review existing policies and procedures for the Circles Group
The ideal candidate:
Finance / Accounting related degree and/or professional qualifications (ACCA or CPA)
An accomplished leader and people manager, with a minimum of 10 - 15 years of relevant work experience in a similar position, primarily with reviewing, consolidating and reporting the financial results.
Familiarity with IFRS, Company Act and Tax regulations within the region preferred
A self-starter and hands-on individual, you can work in a fast-paced environment and is independent.
You are confident speaking to senior stakeholders, possess good communication skills.
A high level of integrity, strong personal drive and resourcefulness.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle) is a bonus
