Description
The Service Technician Associate is responsible for ensuring that the US Field Technicians and Dispatch Team are provided with accurate information on parts inventory, cost and hours estimation including documentation of procedures and processes, and planning and modifying Service Work Order. The individual will assist the Onshore Tech via working remotely in a BPO office environment
Key Responsibilities:
Supports to the field technician in providing an estimate on work hours to customers to fix the kitchen equipment
Works with the Dispatch Team in cost quotation
Validates kitchen equipment parts needed by the Field Technician
Maintains and keeps the inventory parts as well ensuring that tools and equipment are properly maintained
Works with Dispatchers to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customers.
Collaborates with the Field Technician and dispatches to effectively provide solutions to maintenance problems
Logs into the work order management system to find, accept, and complete the work requests
Completes work orders and verifies work performed by the Field Technician to ensure a smooth completion of the project /work orders
Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in the commercial kitchen equipment maintenance or installation.
High School or Diploma in Refrigeration, Electrical / Mechanical or Engineering.
Profound knowledge of how various types of kitchen and refrigeration equipment work
Strong ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, and to follow manuals on operation and installation to complete tasks
Strong ability to prioritize assigned tasks for increased job delivery
Exceptional ability to properly investigate problems with food equipment, discover the issue, and correct it
Able to read, understand, and quote customer prices.
Strong ability to quickly understand and carry out both written and oral instructions effectively
Repair and maintenance experience in the commercial kitchen or dining service field
Strong knowledge of basic electrical practice, theory, and safety
Strong knowledge of the fundamental of commercial refrigeration practice and theory.
Computer literate. Experience in asset management programming.
Able to work in a fast-paced work in a BPO office environment and night shift hours
