Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field
With at least 6 to 12 months work experience
Proficient in English (written and oral communications)
 
Duties and Reponsibilities:
 
• Logs all relevant incident/service request details, allocating categorization and prioritization codes (Priority).
• Provides customer service resolution for operational and service-related incidents. • Routes incidents/service requests that cannot be immediately handled.
• Handles requests and incident reports from customers.
• Determines which CIs are involved in the incident.
• Maintains end-to-end responsibility for customer and end-user calls/emails providing timely, reliable and courteous service.
• Resolves or escalates incidents and requests.
• Updates and validates all incident information.
• Obtains additional information from the requester and end-users, when required.
• Ensures that incidents are resolved and closed.
Determines computing resource requirements, such as disk space, memory, and priority considerations necessary to support designated user(s)/reporting systems. May conduct research including discussion with users, technical and operations staff, i.e. analyzing internal user procedures, process/work flow, and deadlines. May make recommendations to user to enhance scheduling and processing
May verify input/output count for accuracy and duplicate checking
Evaluates processing workload and schedules jobs to meet functional deadlines and to maximize utilization of resources using job-scheduling software.
Resolves scheduling conflicts with user and operations staff
Troubleshoots processing problems and resubmits jobs as necessary and/or escalates to supervision
Ensures availability of hardware and associated equipment, resources, etc. monitoring execution from console or workstation
Responds to requests from systems and applications software, hardware support personnel and users for general production control assistance.
May develop or modify job control language and procedures as necessary
May perform or assist in performing various associated I/O operations and library functions such as error recovery/retrievals (where specific procedures are defined), data/document control and report distribution/data output. May also perform client file maintenance as required
Maintains associated production reports, logs, etc. in support of function
Checks clients and ensures transmissions of claims
Balances the workload between the sites
Troubleshoots technical and logistical issues
May assist in preparation of monthly workload forecasts and coordinates or assists in the coordination of schedules with user(s)
Ensures that appropriate billing records are generated for each job
Prepares daily and monthly reports for senior management on diverse metrics
