Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
As SEO Manager, your role is to manage the Manila-based SEO team with the following focus:
1. Leadership
2. Technical SEO
3. Training and Development
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership
1. Defining the SEO workflow and process
. Identifying talent gap
. Implement workflow on Asana
. Define standard time frames for tasks
. Review sales proposal templates
. Develop client communication templates
. Develop client success measurement
. Work with the sales team on improving the SEO sales process
2. SEO Team management
. Review team performance
. Quality assurance
. Team conflict resolution / Team bonding
3. Client success and KPI
. Client communication
. Client retention
. Work with clients to understand business requirements and define SEO scope
. SEO proposal
Technical SEO
The company prides itself on delivering quality results to its clients. The company is focused on long-term relationships with clients by delivering quality results. You would be responsible for the technical aspects of the SEO process. During the initial phase of the company setup, you would be involved in the day-to-day SEO technical tasks. Once the company has the full team Associate would be more responsible for the overall management of the process. The key technical responsibilities are:
. Develop SEO strategies that align with clients business requirements
. Define KPIs and periodic measurement of KPI deliveries
. Identify new opportunities to deliver better results
. Identify new technologies (Research)
. Identify requirements such as software subscriptions
Training and Development
Training and development are going to be a vital part of your job role. You will be required to work with the team to identify any gaps in skills. You will train juniors as well as recommend structured training sessions to the management. As a part of training, you may need to travel to Sri Lanka as well as Melbourne.
. Develop SEO team induction documents and videos
. Develop training content to share with the team
. Recommend structured training to the team
. Track training KPIs with the team
Skills/Qualifications:
. 3 to 5 years of SEO experience at the strategic level both lead gen and eCommerce
. Excellent communication skills
. Business analytical skills (Being able to identify business problems and translate them into clicks and conversions
. Experience in developing SEO strategies
. Positive attitude
. Ability to learn quickly
. Must have worked on marketing agency side not client-side
Advantageous but not required:
. Google Ads or Facebook paid ads experience
. Experience having established connections with freelance outreach content writers
. Prior experience working with an Australian marketing agency
