About the group and/or team
As Canva's reach continues to skyrocket, we aim to make Canva the go-to place for all design needs on the web. This involves providing our millions of users with the best design and copy, to give them a clear understanding of how best they can use our customisable templates and elements.
Canva offers a vast collection of customizable templates for various design types, themes and topics. Users primarily discover these templates through our various landing pages. By creating engaging, SEO-optimized copy on these landing pages, we are able to inform our users of Canva's vast product offering and features that can help empower them to get any design job done.
Working closely with Canva's SEO team, this is a rare opportunity for copywriters accustomed to working independently and are looking to develop their craft by challenging themselves creatively.
About the candidate
Our EN Templates page brings in over 200k visits monthly. In line with our mission, we want to ensure that each landing page has well-written, unique copy that's informative and engaging. Through this copy, new users can get to know Canva, its features, and how it can empower them to design.
For every landing page, we need the high-quality copy to match. The right candidate should be able to adapt to Canva's tone and voice, incorporate SEO optimizations provided to them in their copy, and work independently while meeting a deadline.
Responsibilities
Create unique and well-researched articles relevant to the designated landing page;
Ensure each output adheres to the specified word count and SEO requirements Adapt to Canva's friendly and informative tone.
Consistently meet the required minimum output by the specified deadline.
Work remotely and report to Canva's SEO content team for copywriting projects.
Consistently meet the 90% weekly output quality rating.
You'll love this role if
You have a good grasp of English spelling, and grammatical structure.
You are meticulous with details, style, and tone, writing with clarity and empathy to deliver what is needed.
You are quick with ideas, coming up with original template copies that can catch our user's eye, but can still match Canva's voice and brand guidelines.
You have a good understanding of Filipino culture and the social community, applying those learnings to the copies you produce.
You have an eye for social trends and the evolving language that comes with them.
You are able to understand a brief from stakeholders, research accordingly, and convert that brief into excellent template copy to meet the project's needs.
