Plentina is an early stage fintech start-up on a mission to serve the world's emerging middle class with access to affordable credit. There are 4B underbanked people in the world, most of whom are in emerging markets that lack a viable credit infrastructure. We're building new approaches to unlocking creditworthiness at scale for the world's unbanked. Plentina was started by two Stanford graduates that are alums of tech and finance giants including Google, NASA, Bridgewater Associates, and Charles Schwab.
The Role
Plentina is seeking a Senior Web Engineer that can quickly architect, build, monitor, and maintain our web portals and traffic. We're seeking candidates who are comfortable with a high level of responsibility, taking ownership by designing, building, and launching independently, and fixing problems as they arise. You'll be expected to have comprehensive ownership of our internal and external web assets.
You'll collaborate with our engineering, product, design, and business teams. You'll be expected to translate business objectives into technical requirements, implement our team's solutions, and align your projects to the company's key metrics.
The Senior Web Engineer will report to the technical Chief Executive Officer.

Minimum experience:
3+ years of experience with object-oriented software development experience
2+ years of professional experience launching web and API services in production
Experience with the latest web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3
Intermediate experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and Python
Familiarity with contemporary web design and optimization of user experience
Familiarity with client, web, and cloud security
Experience building data privacy compliant systems
Familiarity with web frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue
Quick and capable with building mobile-web responsive designs
Experience that would be a plus:
1+ year of experience in a fast-growing start-up company, preferably in the fintech space
Working with remote teams and US-based remote leadership
Representing your organization to external stakeholders
Comfort developing throughout the full web stack
Designing and building web applications for onboarding, sales, financial management, or accounting
User research
Google Cloud Platform or AWS
Mobile development
