Position: Senior Video Editor
Work Hours (Client): M-F, 10 am - 6 pm, Australian Eastern Standard Time
Work Hours (MNL): M-F, 8 am - 4 pm, Philippine Standard Time
Holidays: Australian NSW Public Holidays off
Pay Range: Php 40,000 - 60,000/month (depending on interview assessment and client's approval) Please take note that pay will be given in USD
Duties and Responsibilities:
We are a content marketing agency based in Sydney, Australia, looking for a senior video editor to join our team! We create a range of content including high-end podcast interviews, educational videos, corporate content, and YouTube-style videos.
Collaborate with the creative team to understand the vision and desired outcome for each video project
Edit raw footage, ensuring smooth transitions, visual coherence, and storytelling flow
Enhance video quality by adjusting lighting, color grading, and adding visual effects when needed
Incorporate audio elements, such as music, sound effects, and voiceovers, to enhance the overall video production
Apply motion graphics and animations to add visually appealing elements to videos
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and incorporate their feedback into the editing process
Stay updated with the latest video editing techniques and software advancements to continuously improve the quality of our work
Requirements
At least 3 years of video editing and/or animation experience
Agency or work experience for AUS, USA, or UK-based clients
Preferred: Formal education in media, video production, communications, or equivalent
Strong English fluency with tertiary-level education or equivalent
Confidence in communicating with clients using various tools e.g., email, ClickUp, Asana, Slack.
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Design skills and understanding of design principles
Podcast editing expertise spanning various topics
Selecting takes for scripted content with good judgment
Experience in assembling talking-head footage and b-roll, color grading, sound design, etc.
Attentive to detail in sound design, including background noise removal, EQ application, etc.
A tasteful selection of stock music and footage
Subtitle addition with attention to Australian English spelling
Adherence to style guides and instructions
Deadline-oriented with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage own workflow and prioritize tasks
Problem-solving skills and initiative
Effective collaboration with Directors and Managers with minimal supervision.
Computer Specs Must Haves:
Intel 7th Gen or newer CPU - or AMD Ryzen 3000 Series or newer CPU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) version 1809 or later
At least 32GB of RAM, but more is ideal
At least 6GB of VRAM, but 8GB is ideal
Nvidia GeForce or Quadro Graphic cards are recommended (Equivalent to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 or better)
Fast internal SSD with at least 1TB of storage
Good quality monitor & headphones
Good internet speed: Minimum of 30 Mbps average
