Hours: 20 Hours per week
Tasks required:
Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms for our clients
Prepare/review crypto tax calculation for individual & business clients
Prepare/review journal entries for business clients' crypto transactions
Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in running client engagements
Act as team lead on client projects
Plan for and develop an overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax team
Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the client engagement process
Assist in providing technical trainings to team members
Assist in managing members of the crypto and tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement
Perform additional tasks or projects assigned
Requirements:
Experienced in preparation of individual/corporate/partnership tax returns
At least 2-3 years of income tax experience in a public accounting firm
At least 1-2 years of in-depth personal crypto investment experience
Knowledgeable about the use of crypto exchanges, wallets and how different crypto activities work
Preferred candidates have a current CPA license. Bachelor's degree in an accounting discipline required, MST a plus
Work related crypto experience is strongly desired
Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for individuals and businesses
Familiarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements
Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members
Ability to learn quickly
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Experienced in staff supervision and team leadership
Strong skills and experience with Word, Outlook, Excel, QuickBooks Online, tax return software such as UltraTax, crypto tax software such as CoinTracking.info
Crypto accounting software experience is highly desired
Clear and concise communicator with effective verbal communication
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
